Nokia Does Its Bit

Nokia India launched a programme yesterday to encourage cell phone users to dispose of their used handsets and accessories, regardless of the brand, at recycling bins located at all Nokia priority dealers and Nokia care centres. The campaign will be initiated in four cities – Bangalore, Delhi, Gurgaon and Ludhiana – for the initial month. Subsequently, it will be taken to other parts of the country in a phased manner. Apart from being voted the country’s best loved brand last year, Nokia has always consistently ranked high or top in the quarterly Greenpeace Guide to Greener Electronics report. This video shows how Nokia crunches, analyzes and recycles mobile phones in one of their recycling facilities.
