During the last decade we’ve had the privilege of working on a series of national brand-building exercises, including Incredible India, the Indian Air Force and our unofficial national airline, IndiGo. We’re proud to present our latest and possibly greatest effort – Make in India.
The Logo: by replacing ‘Made’ with ‘Make’, an overworked phrase turned into a powerful call to action. We also needed a symbol that had historical resonance, but with a modern edge. By adding a sense of forward movement and using manufacturing elements as graphic texture, brand India was reborn.
We made a short video for the launch of the logo.
The launch press ad: ‘From Automobiles to Agro-products. From Hardware to Software. From Satellites to Submarines. From Televisions to Telecom. From Pharma to Biotech. From Paper to Power Plants. From Roads to Bridges. From Houses to Smart Cities. From Friendship to Partnership. From Profit to Progress. Whatever you want to make: Make in India.’
The 25+ sector brochures feature key facts and figures, policies and initiatives and sector-specific contact details.
makeinindia.com was designed primarily for mobile screens. The site’s architecture ensures that exhaustive levels of detail are neatly tucked away so as not to overwhelm the user.
A well-planned, well-structured launch event was accompanied by a solid digital strategy. The result: a massive level of buzz on social media, TV and newspapers.
