While most of Delhi was reeling under its headline-grabbing toxic air, some folks from the office had the good fortune of escaping to lovely Dharamshala. The occasion? The Dharamshala Film Festival aka DIFF.
But it wasn’t just the air or the quality cinema on offer that took us there. We were invited given our involvement in creating the festival’s identity.
The inspiration of the identity was the location itself. Apart from creating a strong logotype, we also created a fantastical illustration to capture Dharamshala by both day and night. The two versions were then used across collateral and a website that changed backgrounds depending on the time. All of which, if you ask us, sat rather well in its actual surroundings.
Apart from posters and catalogues, we also made other festival goodies including badges and the customary tote.
It was a great little project and by all accounts, a terrific festival. We expect a lot more interest in the festival next year both from outside the office and within.
